NowYouSeeHim,NowYouDon'twasthefirstDisneyfilmtobeshownontelevisioninatwo-hourtimeslot,in1975.PrevioustelevisionshowingsofDisneyfilmshadeithershownthemeditedorsplitintotwoone-hourtimeslots. AtMedfieldCollege,sciencebuffDexterRileyandhisfriends,includingRichardSchuylerandDebbieDawson,eavesdropviaahiddenwalkie-talkieonaboardmeetingledbyDeanEugeneHiggins,discussingthesmallcollege'scontinuingprecariousfinances.Laterthatafternoon,ProfessorLufkinshowsHigginsaroundthesciencelabwhereDexterisworkingonanexperimentwithinvisibilityandanotherstudent,Druffle,explorestheflightofbumblebees.Thatnight,duringapowerfulthunderstorm,theroofofthelabisstruckbylightning,sendingacurrentofelectricitydownametalbeamandthroughDexter'scomplexexperimentcomponents.Thenextday,asDexterexamineshisburntequipmentwithdismay,HigginsmeetswithA.J.Arno,arecentlyreleasedprisoner,whohadalsopurchasedMedfield'smortgage.WhenDexteraccidentallydropsonehalfofhisglassesintoacontainerofhisexperimentalformula,itappearsasifthesubstancedestroysthem,butuponcloserexamination,Dexterrealizestheframesaremerelypartiallyinvisible.Afterseveraltests,Dexterplaceshisfingersintheliquidandtheydisappear.SchuylerandDebbiearriveandarehorrifiedtoseeDexterwithapartialhand,butDexterinsistsSchuylertestthesubstanceaswell,admittingonlyafterwardthathedoesnotyethaveanantidote.
